We aim for this empowerment to translate into active engagement in civic participation.
We aim to utilize historical connections as a foundation to bridge and strengthen bilateral ties. By leveraging these cultural assets, we can attain a progressive and mutually beneficial future for all parties involved.
Ancient Philippine society was progressive and vibrant. Indigenous peoples, women, gender minorities, people from lower socio-economic groups and other minorities attained higher levels of acceptance, independence and freedom during the time when datus were stewards of Filipino society. We shall endeavor to raise the dignity of all groups by actively advocating for their causes and grievances and celebrate their contribution to society.
Democracy is multifaceted. It has been practiced by people from the greater Malay archipelago for over a thousand years. Datus were elected by the people through represented democracy. This form of democracy was also practiced by the Filipino people. Although heredity played a part in choosing the ruling datus, ability was of greater importance.
We seek to promote democratic reforms and advocate for greater autonomy to local governments in order to catalyze local economies and achieve inclusive growth.
The Philippines is a diverse society. Being in the heart of Southeast Asia, we have always been at the forefront of commerce and many people from other lands have settled with us throughout history and embraced the Filipino way of life. By acknowledging , respecting and taking pride in our diversity, we enhance the natural synergies of our communities towards shared developmental goals.
Religious freedom is a universal right. By educating the populace towards religious tolerance, we can enjoy living in a society that is harmonious and prosperous.
